11kV SWBD Factory Acceptance Test Supervision

Proper and thorough Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) significantly influences the overall costs associated with installation and commissioning. For the project outlined below, our team successfully identified numerous non-compliance issues. These included, but were not limited to, the incorrect positioning of cable penetrations, improper ratings of analog ammeters, erroneous connections within synchronizing circuits, and broken ARC fiber optic sensors.

The identification of these discrepancies during FAT is crucial as they could result in substantial delays and increased costs during the commissioning phase. Procuring materials and parts from another continent is often challenging, with lead times extending to several weeks for certain components. Furthermore, once the switchboard (SWBD) is installed, replacing some instruments becomes a complex and time-consuming task.

By addressing these issues during FAT, we can mitigate potential risks, ensuring a smoother and more cost-effective commissioning process.
